After spending two weeks in a coma after his near-fatal drug accident in 2001, he admitted all he could think about was how his actions could end the rock group.

AceShowbiz - Foo Fighters star Taylor Hawkins feared his heroin overdose had killed pal Dave Grohl's band.

The drummer spent two weeks in a coma after his near-fatal drug accident in 2001, and admits all he could think about is how his foolish actions had ended the rock group.

And, to make matters worse, Grohl started performing with Queens of the Stone Age.

"It really looked like the end," he tells Beats 1's Matt Wilkinson, confessing he's now glad he had a wake-up call.

"I was partying a lot. I wasn't like a junkie per se, but I was partying," he adds. "There was a year where the partying just got a little too heavy. Thank God, on some level, this guy gave me the wrong line with the wrong thing one night and I woke up going, 'What the f**k happened?' That was a real changing point for me."

And he's now warning others about the dangers of drugs, stating, "I think people are gonna do what they're gonna do, kids are gonna f**k around, they're gonna experiment. If you have an addictive personality or you're a f**king dumb kid, you're gonna get drawn into it. You gotta be careful, man."
