AceShowbiz - Will Smith and German filmmaker Marc Forster have acquired a licensing and distribution company.

The "Suicide Squad" star and Forster have teamed up to purchase Telepool GmbH, which they will develop, finance, and distribute their joint projects through. Smith will also be able to develop and release his Overbrook Entertainment film and TV projects via Telepool, while Forster will be able to do the same with his 2dux² productions.

According to Variety, the acquisition was a joint venture between bosses at the Smith Family Circle, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's Family Office, and Elysian Fields, a group of investors who work with Forster.

"Marc and I took a close look at Telepool and discovered a company that has an incredible reputation and a lot of potent," a statement from Smith reads. "We look forward to working together and with the Telepool team to create unique opportunities and content to strategically growing the business."
