AceShowbiz - ESPN celebrates athletes in their natural glory on its 2018 Body Issue. Images from the 10th anniversary issue of ESPN The Magazine's Body Issue have been released, featuring the likes of Adam Rippon, Jerry Rice and Breanna Stewart in nothing but their birthday suits.

Adam Rippon felt so liberated after coming out of the closet.

Rippon, the first openly gay United States male athlete to win a medal in a Winter Olympics, wears his skating shoes while posing with his naked back facing the camera. "I couldn't have done this [shoot] while I was in the closet," the figure skater tells the magazine. "I think that, with my experience of coming out, I felt so liberated in so many ways."

Bird adds, "Yeah, I think it'll probably be even more bad-ass later."
