AceShowbiz - A private jet previously owned by Elvis Presley is going back up for auction, just a year after it was last sold.

The red 1962 Lockheed Jetstar had been the pride and joy of Elvis and his father Vernon Presley, but after being purchased privately following Elvis' 1977 passing, it sat on an airport runway in Roswell, New Mexico for over 35 years, with the owner choosing not to have it restored.

It went under the hammer for $430,000 (£325,000) at a California auction in May, 2017, but is now back up for grabs, according to online sale site IronPlanet.

Elvis had reportedly designed the plane's interior to his own specifications, including the gold-tone hardware, woodwork, inlay, red velvet seats, and red carpet, but the jet's cockpit requires restoration and a whole new engine.

Bids for the private plane are being accepted until 27 July.
