AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande has fired back at those criticising her public declaration of love for new fiance Pete Davidson on her upcoming album, insisting "life's too short to be cryptic".
The Side to Side hitmaker began dating the comedian in May, but their romance quickly escalated and last week, ends June 15, the couple confirmed it was engaged to wed.
Ariana is currently preparing to release her new album Sweetener, and on Sunday, June 17, the singer revealed she has dedicated an interlude to her husband-to-be.
She has been teasing fans with snippets of her new tunes on social media, and confirmed the special cut had featured in the background to one of her earlier posts.
Asked what the track was, she replied via Twitter, "the one from today isss (sic) from an interlude ab (about) pete".

The tune, which she confirmed was simply named Pete, drew some snarky comments from followers, with one remarking, "Girl we know you love him but are you dumb".
Ariana brushed off the rude tweet, and opened up about her honest approach to her love life as she responded to a fan, who applauded her no-nonsense attitude.

Ariana's message appeared to reference the heartache she suffered last year (17), when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device towards the end of her show at England's Manchester Arena, which killed 22 people and left more than 100 injured.
In recent interview with British Vogue, the pop star opened up about the painful memories of that day, and her struggle to overcome the post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) she had been suffering from ever since.
"I hate admitting it but it very much is (PTSD). That's what everyone was telling me," the 24-year-old said. "It's hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss. But, yeah, it's a real thing. I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of it as well".
