A federal judge modified the bail conditions for the rapper to allow him to play the first five shows of his upcoming 15-date U.S. tour.

AceShowbiz - Juelz Santana has been allowed to go on tour while facing weapons charges, provided he is supervised by his mother.

A federal judge modified the bail conditions for the rapper, real name is LaRon James, on Friday, June 15 to allow him to play the first five shows of his upcoming 15-date U.S. tour, according to Page Six.

However, the conditions include having to wear an electronic ankle bracelet, have his mother accompany him on the trips, that he drives instead of flies and that the pair do not travel with other members of the tour.

Santana told the judge that his mother had consented to supervise him.

Back in March, Newark Liberty International Airport security found a loaded .38-caliber handgun and non-prescribed oxycodone pills in a carry-on bag containing Santana’s identification.

The 36-year-old was released on $500,000 (£377,000) bail and is currently living with his mother and brother.

Santana has pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft, and faces up to 20 years in prison.

The Dipset rapper is due back in court next month to discuss whether he can play other shows on his tour.
