AceShowbiz - Nikki Bella and John Cena were photographed having a dinner date on Tuesday night, June 12 at the Cowboy Star Restaurant in San Diego. While most people would probably think that it was a romantic date, it didn't seem to be the case.

The former couple looked like having a rather tense moment in a picture obtained by TMZ. Nikki was seen resting her face on her hands while sporting a dark facial expression. John, who donned a white shirt to cover his muscly body, didn't look happier either. With an indescribable expression, he stared at his ex-fiancee.

According to some witnesses, their conversation looked intense during the entire meal. While it didn't necessarily mean that thing went bad, it didn't seem to be hinting at some good things either.

Nikki and John, who announced their split in April, are reportedly trying to work things out with John allegedly attempting to woo Nikki back. John, who has been open about his stance of not having kids and getting married, surprisingly suggests in a new sneak peek of "Total Bellas" that he's willing to have kids with Nikki.

"I don't think date nights could ever get old, but I think so many years down the road, to keep things exciting, I think kids help that in a relationship," Nikki told John. "I see the point of kids after you've been with someone for so long."

John later asked Nikki "these difficult questions" about whether Nikki was upset because she's not going to be mom or simply because she'd fallen out of love with him. However, Nikki assured that she was just "wanting to be a mom."

With that, John later made a shoking statement. "OK, because I can't have you out of my life, ever, and I want to marry you. Relationship and marriage especially is about sacrifice, and I will make that sacrifice for you. I will give you a child," he said.
