AceShowbiz - Glee actor Blake Jenner is "grateful" to have experienced marriage with his ex Melissa Benoist even though it ended in divorce.

The young couple secretly wed in early 2015, almost two years after becoming engaged, but the pair moved to end its short-lived marriage in December, 2016, citing irreconcilable differences.

A judge signed off on their split settlement a year later (Dec17), and despite the relationship not working out, Blake has nothing but good things to say about the Supergirl star.

"I think there's something beautiful about being able to look back on any sequence of events that you've been through and come out grateful for it," he told Us Weekly. "I feel like it's a yearbook of experience... So, I'm nothing but happy".

Although the pair has parted ways personally, Blake and Melissa actually star together in new crime thriller Billy Boy, which the 25-year-old actor also co-wrote and co-produced.

Benoist has since moved on from their failed marriage and is now dating her Supergirl co-star, Chris Wood.
