AceShowbiz - Chris Martin has bought a theatre in Malibu for more than $4 million.
The Coldplay frontman dropped $4.45 million (£3.3 million) on the 99-seat Malibu Playhouse, according to TMZ.com.
It's not known what the 41-year-old has in store for the property, which is currently home to two acting troupes - the Young Actors Project and the Once Upon a Time Children's Theater.
The playhouse also hosts comedy nights, camps, classes and singer showcases, the MailOnline reports.
It sits on more than six acres of prime Malibu land, and has sweeping views of the ocean and the canyon.
A rep for the singer has yet to comment on the report.
