AceShowbiz - John Cena and his former fiancee Nikki Bella are back together just weeks after calling off their engagement.

The couple reunited for the first time as part of reality show Total Bellas, running into each other backstage at the taping of WWE's Raw 25th anniversary event in New York City.

The awkward encounter was caught on camera and will feature as part of an episode of the hit show this weekend, June 03 in America.

"John, I mean, he's like a frickin' magnet to me and it's like my heart sinks so deep into my stomach," Nikki says to the camera in a sneak peek of the show. "I feel like I don't even know how to breathe. (It's) as if my lungs are filled with fluid".

After berating her ex for not warning her about a possible encounter, wrestler-turned-actor Cena says, "I'm supposed to stay away from you? It's taking every fiber of my being not to text or call you. I'm just trying to do the right thing".

He then tells his ex, "I miss you so much," and Nikki responds by stating, "I miss you too".

And now it seems the encounter may have sparked a reconciliation, with sources telling Us Weekly John and Nikki are back together.

"Nikki called off the wedding so she could have more time to make a decision with what she wanted in life," an insider tells the publication. "Calling off the wedding was the right decision at the moment and their relationship only grew from it. It didn’t mean that any love was lost, or that they lost any feelings for one another, but they both have realised that they love each other and want to be with one another".

Ironically, their break-up also features on Sunday's episode of Total Bellas.

A representative for the pair has confirmed rumours of a reconciliation are accurate: "Nikki Bella and John Cena are working on their relationship and taking it day by day," the spokesperson told ET Online on Thursday, May 31. "They appreciate all of their fans and their continued support".
