AceShowbiz - Meghan, Duchess Of Sussex has been given the blessing of Britain's royal family to use her new role to fight for feminist causes.
Meghan, 36, became a royal following her wedding to Prince Harry, 33, in St George's Chapel, at Windsor Castle in England on Saturday, May 19 - and has now been honoured with an official biography on the royals' website.
The description of Meghan includes a quote, in large text in which she states, "I am proud to be a woman and a feminist," and references her "lifelong commitment to causes such as social justice and women's empowerment".

Like all royals she will patronise and support various charities in addition to her official duties - and the former actress lists two women's organisations among those she intends to back.
In addition to highlighting her role as a United Nations Women's Advocate for Women's Political Participation and Leadership and her support for gender equality, the biography also mentions her and Prince Harry's choice of the Myna Mahila Foundation as a recipient of charitable donations made for their wedding. The Foundation aims to empower women living in slums in Mumbai, India, by providing access to education and female health products.
According to Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper, she told guests at her wedding reception that she would "love" to get involved in campaigning for causes, saying: "That's why I am here, bring it on".
Her biography also extensively outlines her long devotion to feminism and gender equality, detailing how at the age of 11 she successfully campaigned to get a TV advert for washing-up liquid changed as it used sexist language. Meghan's volunteer work in soup kitchens, both in her youth and while filming her TV show Suits in Toronto, Canada, was also referenced.
The newlywed royals will have their first engagement as a couple at a Buckingham Palace reception marking Harry's dad, Prince Charles' 70th birthday on Tuesday, May 22, before heading off on honeymoon.
