The 'There It Go (The Whistle Song)' star fled Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey after a loaded firearm was allegedly found in his bag back in March.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Juelz Santana has pleaded not guilty to trying to take a gun on a plane. "The There It Go (The Whistle Song)" star, real name LaRon James, was indicted on two charges - possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft - by a federal grand jury last month.

The charges stem from an incident in March, when the musician fled Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey after a loaded firearm was allegedly found in his bag at a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint. He surrendered to New Jersey authorities just three days later and initially faced both state and federal charges.

The state charges were later dismissed, but on Thursday, May 10, he pleaded not guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and a charge of trying to bring a weapon onto an aircraft in Newark Federal Court, where he was formally arraigned, according to Bossip.

If convicted on both counts, Santana could face up to 20 years in prison.
