AceShowbiz - Sebastian Stan had "extreme concern" for his "Avengers: Infinity War" co-star Tom Hiddleston when he embarked on a high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift. The Brit famously enjoyed a whirlwind romance with the pop superstar during the summer of 2016, and Sebastian admits he was surprised by the unexpected pairing when news of the fling first hit headlines.

"It was one of awe and extreme concern, obsession and yet at the same time... I don't know, I was really worried, mainly for him," Sebastian smiled as he explained his reaction to the news on late night show "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen". "You know, love is quick and hard."

However, Sebastian never actually got to discuss the romance with Tom himself, because it was over within weeks. "I actually forgot about that incident," he quipped of the short-lived affair, which occurred not long after Taylor split from DJ Calvin Harris.

Sebastian's comments emerge a year after Tom insisted his connection with Taylor was genuine, and not just for publicity. "Taylor is an amazing woman. She's generous and kind and lovely, and we had the best time," he told GQ magazine in March 2017. "Of course it was real." However, he soon made it clear he was no longer interested in discussing that part of his love life.

In a subsequent chat with the Telegraph, Tom appeared to take offence when asked if he regretted "the publicity and gossip the romance engendered." He responded, "What should I regret, in your mind? I would rather not talk about this, if that's alright."

"Everyone is entitled to a private life," he continued. "I love what I do and I dedicate myself with absolute commitment to making great art and great entertainment, and in my mind I don't conflict the two. My work is in the public sphere and I have a private life. And those two things are separate."

Taylor and Tom were inseparable during their brief romance and she even accompanied him to Australia, where he was filming "Thor: Ragnarok".
