The 'Austin Powers' actor gets emotional as he pays tribute to his late co-star, calling Troyer 'a fantastic human being, and a great comedian.'

AceShowbiz - Mike Myers choked back tears as he paid tribute to his "Austin Powers" co-star Verne Troyer on TV on Wednesday night, May 2. Troyer died on April 21 and Myers attended a recent memorial for his friend and castmate, who portrayed Mini-Me to the funnyman's Dr. Evil in the spy parody films.

Still mourning the loss of his pal, Mike told U.S. late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, "Verne was a fantastic human being, and a great comedian. I always want to make that point that, as written, Mini-Me is almost a prop. But he brought it off the page, better than written, and we kept just giving him more and more stuff to do."

Calling Verne "a great physical comedian, a great dancer, just a fantastic guy," Mike revealed the late 49-year-old, who was born with the genetic disorder achondroplasia dwarfism and was one of the world's shortest men, was told he wouldn't live to see his 20s, but he packed "150 years" into his short life.

"Verne brought so much love to people...," Mike shared. "Everywhere I've been in the world (people ask about him)."

Following Troyer's death, Myers released a statement, which read, "Verne was the consummate professional and a beacon of positivity for those of us who had the honor of working with him. It is a sad day, but I hope he is in a better place. He will be greatly missed."
