New 'Ant-Man and the Wasp' Trailer Offers Glimpses of the Quantum Realm
Movie

Paul Rudd's Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly's Hope van Dyne fight against the bad guys, who want to steal Hank Pym's technology.

AceShowbiz - Ant-Man and the Wasp return in a new trailer for the "Ant-Man" sequel after they went M.I.A. in "Avengers: Infinity War". Coming with the tagline, "Real heroes. Not actual size," the video offers glimpses of the Quantum Realm where Hope van Dyne's (Evangeline Lilly) mother Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) disappeared into years ago.

Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) entered the Quantum Realm in the first film and came back, giving them hope that they could bring Janet back. In the meantime, they have to deal with a new villain who tries to steal Hank Pym's (Michael Douglas) technology.

Hannah John-Kamen plays the new villain, Ghost, who has the ability to phase through solid objects. She is seen walking through walls. "Now she wants to take over the world or whatever," Luis (Michael Pena) says. Director Peyton Reed teases, "She has all sorts of strange versions of that phasing power - it proves quite difficult for Ant-Man and Wasp to deal with."

But Ant-Man won't be facing Ghost alone. He teams up with Hope, who suits up as the Wasp and is armed with wings, something that Ant-Man doesn't have. As the one who trained Scott in the first film, the Wasp proves to be more skilled and effective than Ant-Man.

At some point in the film, Hank recruits Luis and his crew, who now call themselves X-CON, possibly to get something that is stolen from him back. "Who would have believed in your hour of need that you would turn to us? Because we robbed you! Do you remember? That's us," Luis tells Hank, referring to what they did in the 2015 movie.

There's also a look at Laurence Fishburne's Bill Foster, Hank's old friend and former assistant, who worked with him on Project Goliath. Upon meeting with Scott, they compare how big they're able to grow with Hank's technology, irritating Hope who doesn't have the same ability.

According to the official synopis, in the aftermath of "Captain America: Civil War", Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he's confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.

Also starring Walton Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, T.I., David Dastmalchian, Randall Park and Abby Ryder Fortson, the "Ant-Man" sequel was written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, with Kevin Feige as producer. The movie is slated to open wide in U.S. theaters on July 6.
