The 'Call Out My Name' hitmaker teases their collaboration by sharing on Instagram a picture of a black jacket which features his signature 'XO' logo.

AceShowbiz - The Weeknd has given fans a sneak peek at a new line of streetwear with Japanese brand A Bathing Ape. The "Starboy" hitmaker took to Instagram on Monday night, April 30 to share a photo of the back of a black jacket, which featured his signature "XO" logo in the centre of a large circle in an orange camouflage design, with the words "A Bathing Ape" and "Till We Overdose" printed in white.

The company's trademark ape heads were also worked into the image. "coming soon," he teased in the caption. The Weeknd didn't offer up any further details about the clothing collaboration, but it's not his first foray into the streetwear world.

He previously worked alongside Swedish retail bosses at H&M to release a menswear range, titled Spring Icons Selected by The Weeknd, back in March, 2017. The line included a mix of urban bomber jackets and hoodies, as well as tailored shirts and blazers, with a few of the pieces also having his "XO" logo incorporated into their designs.

However, the singer abruptly ended his deal with H&M in January and vowed never to work with them again following the launch of an ill-advised U.K. advertisement, in which a young black boy posed in a green hoodie sporting the caption, "Coolest Monkey in the Jungle."

Blasting fashion bosses for the insensitive promo on Twitter, he wrote, "woke up this morning shocked and embarrassed by this photo. i’m deeply offended and will not be working with @hm (H&M) anymore".

H&M officials quickly released a statement apologising for the offensive undertones of the post and pulled the item from sale. The blunder also cost the firm its partnership with rapper G-Eazy, who axed plans to unveil his fashion line with the store in March.
