Jan Adams, who completed liposuction and breast-reduction surgery on Donda West in November 2007, that the rapper's plan to use his face for an album cover was a 'Macguffen [sic].'

AceShowbiz - The plastic surgeon who operated on Kanye West's mother before her death has responded to the rapper's plans to use his face as album art. West posted screenshots on Twitter on Saturday, April 28, showing a text conversation he had with a friend named Wes - who fans speculate could be his artist collaborator Wes Lang - revealing Jan Adams' picture would feature on the cover of his forthcoming record.

Adams completed liposuction, tummy-tuck and breast-reduction surgery on Donda West in Los Angeles in November 2007. She passed away at the age of 58 the day after the operation after experiencing chest pain and collapsing.

Following the hip-hop star's announcement of his plans, Adams spoke to editors at The Blast website via text message, cryptically writing that he believed West's move was a "Macguffen [sic]".

A MacGuffin is a term popularised by the director Alfred Hitchcock, which refers to a dramatic device in the form of a goal or object which characters seek and believe is hugely important but is really only included to further the plot.

In the text exchange, West posted the picture of Adams and asked his pal for title ideas.

"I want to forgive and stop hating," he continued, before Wes replied: "LOVE EVERYONE."

The All of the Lights hitmaker added that he "loved" the album title suggestion, and later wrote on Twitter that he wanted fans to contact someone they had fallen out with or hate and "tell them I love you".

The Los Angeles County coroner's report into Donda's death ruled the 58-year-old died from "coronary artery disease and multiple post-operative factors due to or as a consequence of liposuction and mammoplasty". Adams was not personally faulted by the coroner. However, he surrendered his California medical licence in 2009 following multiple convictions for alcohol-related offences.
