There are rumors saying that the 2019 movie may either be 'The Conjuring 3' or 'The Crooked Man', as the two movies have been in development for quite some time.

AceShowbiz - "The Conjuring 2" spin-off "The Nun" has not hit theaters yet. However, Warner Bros. has announced the release date for another "The Conjuring" movie. On Friday, April 20 the studio stated that the untitled "Conjuring" movie has been set for a July 3, 2019 release.

Although the movie's release date has been revealed, WB has not given any details about the movie. There are rumors saying that the 2019 movie may either be "The Conjuring 3" or "The Crooked Man", as the two movies have been in development for quite some time.

If the 2019 movie is actually "The Conjuring 3", then the movie will revolve around two iconic exorcists Ed and Lorraine Warren who head to London to investigate a man named Bill Ramsey. Set in 1980, the two tried to help the man who was presumably being possessed and haunted by a werewolf demon.

In an August 7, 2017 interview with Entertainment Weekly, "The Conjuring" director James Wan admitted that "The Conjuring 3" was in development, saying, "We've been working hard on 'Conjuring 3'." He added, "Of course, that is something that I am not neglecting. 'The Conjuring' films are still the mothership and the mothership needs to be strong. [Laughs] The mothership needs to be strong for all these other jet fighters to shoot out of. So, we're in the midst of working on the script, and still hashing [it] out. We want to make sure that the script is in a really good place. With how much people have loved the first two 'Conjuring,' I don't want to rush in to the third one if possible."

Wan also revealed that "The Crooked Man" was still at the beginning of the development. "Early stages, kind of like cooking away," he said. "But we think we have a really exciting story. What we want to do, with 'The Conjuring' universe, is we want each of our little offshoots to have a very different flavor, right? So, for example, 'Annabelle' is the classic sort-of haunted doll sub-genre. And with 'The Crooked Man', I would love to push it more down somewhat of that dark fairytale, and more whimsical, sub-genre. I love the idea that, within the 'Conjuring' universe, each of our little movies all have their own flavor, so that way they don't feel like they're the same films."

Either way, horror movie fans must be excited to wait for the movie to come.
