AceShowbiz - Following her bachelorette party in Cabo, Mexico, Gwyneth Paltrow gathered her A-list friends to celebrate her engagement to fiance Brad Falchuk on Saturday night, April 14. The black-tie event, which took place at the Los Angeles Theatre, was attended by a slew of famous figures such as Jennifer Aniston, Liv Tyler, Reese Witherspoon and Kate Hudson.
The aforementioned names were reportedly just a slew of the alleged 400 guests of the bash. According to Page Six, Ryan Murphy, Brad's longtime collaborator for their hits shows like "Glee", "American Horror Story" and "Scream Queens", was the one who threw the party for the couple.
Gwyneth looked stunning in a burgundy one-shoulder gown, flaunting her toned midriff as it featured a cutout at the midsection. Meanwhile, Brad looked dapper in a white traditional tuxedo which he teamed up with a black bow-tie and color-coordinated pants. They looked beaming at the party that was especially held for the happy couple's friends.
A source revealed to PEOPLE that the bash gave "an old school" vibe, adding that it was such a "very glamorous Hollywood event." Despite a lot of celebrities attending, "it wasn't a stuffy party," according to the source.
"Instead, lots of candles and fragrant flowers created a romantic atmosphere," the source continued. "It felt intimate and very special. You could tell that all guests very much love the couple."
The guests were welcomed with cocktails upon walking to the engagement party. The guests seemingly enjoyed every bit of the party as they "spoke and toasted the couple" while some others were dancing to music performed by "a live band."
As if that was not enough, the marquee of the Los Angeles Theatre was customized as it spelled a sweet message which read, "BF loves GP."
Jen Meyer, the estranged wife of Tobey Maguire, took to her Instagram account to share a selfie with Sara Foster at the event. "Saturday night and we're all off to celebrate our favorite couple," she captioned the snap.
Valentino fashion fixture Giancarlo Giammetti shared a photo of Brad and Gwyneth, captioning it with, "These two beauties inside and out get engaged tomorrow!!! All my best wishes my dear @gwynethpaltrow and @bradfalchuk love you and miss not to be there with you!!!"
It prompted people to speculate that the bash might be a surprise wedding of the couple. "Does he mean they get married?" a curious fan wrote in the comment section.
Gwyneth and Brad got engaged after three years of dating, announcing the good news in January. Prior to this, Gwyneth was married to Chris Martin, with whom she shares two children, Apple Martin and Moses Martin.
