The Jose Padhila-directed music video features the former One Direction member being attacked at a club after handing a briefcase to Steven Bauer.

AceShowbiz - Zayn Malik has released his first new music of 2018. The British singer premiered the first single off his forthcoming sophomore album, "Let Me", along with its music video treatment on April 12. The visuals was directed by Jose Padilha, who is known for helming "Narcos" and "Robocop".

The approximately four-minute clip begins with Zayn walking into a hotel as his Sia Furler-assisted track "Dusk Till Dawn" plays in the background. The new song itself only starts playing when the singer enters a club inside the hotel, looking out at Sofia Jamora on the dance floor.

The two seem to not know each other at first, but viewers later get to see the real relationship between the pair through a series of flashback scenes. One of the flashback scenes shows Zayn walking into a hotel suite to meet a henchman, who is played by Steven Bauer. Sofia is also there, walking on a balcony. When Steven notices that Zayn is eyeing her, he asks, "You like that too, don't you?" Zayn simply responds, "What's not to like?"

Another flashback scene finds the pair enjoying an intimate moment together. Zayn is seen making out with the brunette model, who sports white lingerie and a matching silk robe, on a bed. The two then head out to the balcony.

Back to the club scene, Zayn is seen getting ready to leave the club after handing a briefcase to Steven. Before he can even leave the club, Steven calls on his men to attack Zayn and points a gun at Sofia's head to threaten the singer. It appears Sofia doesn't need to be saved by Zayn as she punches Steven and coolly leaves the club.

The end of the music video sees the two riding on a boat, sharing a kiss. The words, "To be continued," then are flashed on the screen, hinting that there's more to come.

The song itself finds Zayn singing about promising to be faithful to a woman forever. In a recent interview, the former One Direction member refused to tell who the song is about. "It's not always the wisest thing to do," he said. "It just complicates things a bit so I have tended not to do that anymore. I just keep it to myself."
