AceShowbiz - The music video for Migos' "Walk It Talk It" featuring Drake is here for viewing pleasure. Released on Sunday, March 18, the visuals features the hip-hop trio and the "Hotline Bling" hitmaker going back to the '70s.
The Migos and Daps-directed music video opens with Jamie Foxx channeling Don Cornelius as he introduces Migos' performance on a show called "Culture Live". The scene then changes to show the trio rocking polyester, butterfly-collar suits which they team with afro wigs as they belt out the song. In addition to the afro wig, Quavo sports a luxurious mustache.
Drake appears in the middle of the performance, showing off his dance moves among the crowd before joining Migos on the stage. The "God's Plan" hitmaker dons a processed curl wig and a flashy black jacket.
"I gotta stay in my zone/ Say that we been beefin' dog, but you on your own/ First night, she gon' let me f**k 'cause we grown/ I hit her, gave her back to the city, she home/ That was that," Drake raps. "So I can't be beefin' with no wack n***a, got no backbone/ Heard you livin' in a mansion in all your raps though."
"Walk It Talk It" is the third song off "Culture II" which gets a music video treatment, following "Stir Fry" and "MotorSport" featuring Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. The album itself debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 chart and received generally positive reviews from music critics. Jordan Bassett of NME praised the Atlanta-based group, "Migos are firing on all cylinders here. The fab three have done it again."
DJ Durel, who is the group's frequent collaborator, said that the group only spent 20 to 45 minutes to do each song. He also stated that when "they're in the zone, there's no way you can stop them from laying down a good song. It's going to come out perfect. It's not going to come out rushed or anything."
