AceShowbiz - Luke Wilson and pro golfer Bill Haas were involved in a car crash in Los Angeles that left one person dead and two injured, including Haas, on Tuesday night, February 13. Reports claimed that Wilson was driving north on Chautauqua Boulevard in Pacific Palisades when a Ferrari clipped his car and then collided with a BMW.

The driver of the Ferrari, 71-year-old Mark Gibello, was pronounced dead at the scene. Haas, the passenger of the Ferrari, was seriously injured. A 50-year-old woman in the BMW was also seriously injured, but she was helped by Wilson.

When the BMW flipped over, the woman inside was screaming as her leg was stuck, according to tattoo artist Sean Heirigs, who witnessed the accident. He told TMZ that Wilson immediately ran over to get the woman out. Heirigs helped the actor, and both of them eventually managed to pull the woman out of the back of the car and carried her to a curb while waiting for paramedics to arrive.

Both Haas and the woman were hospitalized, but the former was released the following day with no broken bones. However, he has pain and swelling in his legs. Because of that, the 35-year-old golfer will withdraw from the Genesis Open to recover at his home in Greenville, South Carolina.

"While Bill escaped serious injuries and has been released from the hospital, he is understandably shaken up and--more importantly--his deepest condolences go out to the host family during this tragic and difficult time," Haas' manager, Allen Hobbs, said in a statement following the accident.

"Bill will withdraw from the Genesis Open and plans to head home to Greenville to recover," he continued. "He appreciates the support of his friends, family and the golf world as a whole, and he has asked for privacy as he processes what has happened."
