The Arya Stark depicter reveals on her Twitter account that her statement saying that the new season would premiere in April is 'taken from an interview I did years ago.'

AceShowbiz - Recently there was a report of Maisie Williams revealing that the highly-anticipated eighth and final season of "Game of Thrones" was scheduled to premiere in April 2019. However, the Arya Stark depicter on the hit HBO series is now shutting down the claim, adding that is "completely false."

"Just a tweet letting you know this game of thrones release date 'quote' I've supposedly given is completely false," Williams tweeted on Monday, January 29. She added that it was "taken from an interview I did years ago."

Metro was the first to publish the story. Fans previously indeed found Williams' remark contradictory to the current plan. The 20-year-old British actress said that the filming was expected to be wrapped in December. Meanwhile, star Peter Dinklage previously shared that they had finished shooting around halfway and was expected to wrap things up around end of July or early August.

HBO also didn't confirm the April premiere date, though the network didn't deny it either. However, it confirmed that the cult series would indeed return for season 8 in 2019.

HBO's top programming boss Casey Bloys previously shared at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, California, that they needed more time as the new season has gotten bigger with "big battle scenes" and "big special effects." Bloys added, "It's a big show. As time has gone on there are bigger battle scenes and more dragons. It's a complicated production. It's simply a matter of them taking the time they need to execute at the level they feel the fans deserve."

The 6-episode final season of the hit medieval series starring Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke indeed is expected to feature a lot of battle scenes, including a dragon-on-dragon battle between Drogon and his undead brother Viserion in the Great War to come. The battle scenes will also be costly as there will be the army of the undead, the Dothrakis and more marching soldiers in the war.
