Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin have been making headlines for the past few months with their alleged romance. While the pair remain mum on their relationship, Dakota's father Don Johnson has something to say about rumors of her dating the Coldplay frontman.

While attending the National Television Awards on Tuesday, January 23, Don was asked to weigh in on the rumors. "Yeah, that's.. uh troubling, isn't it?" he joked to Digital Spy.

The "Miami Vice" vet later added, "No, she's a big girl, she can handle herself!" It's interesting, since Don didn't necessarily shut down the rumors.

Dakota and Chris were spotted together in numerous occasions. Most recently, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" actress and the "Fix You" hitmaker turned heads while attending Stella McCartney's Fall 2018 Fashion Show in Los Angeles. According to Page Six, the 40-year-old singer was seen massaging the 28-year-old actress' neck at the event, which was held on January 16 in Hollywood.

Prior to that, the alleged couple was photographed dining at Soho House in Malibu, California on January 12. Dakota and Chris, who have sparked romance rumors for months, were all smiles in each other's company.

An eyewitness said that the pair "arrived together in Chris' car," they later "met up with friends and had a fun night. They both seemed very happy."

During the dinner date, "they were flirty," according to the eyewitness. "They also left the restaurant together," the eyewitness continued saying.

A source previously claimed that Dakota and Chris are "definitely dating." The source added, "They've gotten to know each other really well and are very comfortable from one another."

"It's more than just a fling," continued the source. "They have been dating since early October," revealed another source. "[They] spend most nights hanging out at his house and laying low. His friends already love her and see how happy she makes him."
