Wendy Williams also criticizes Kelly in the Tuesday episode of her show, claiming that she sparks feud with the actress because 'she is fishing for ratings.'

AceShowbiz - Ann Curry is speaking about the ongoing public feud between Megyn Kelly and Jane Fonda. During her appearance on "The View" on Tuesday, January 23, Curry said, "Journalists are not supposed to be the story."

The former "Today" anchor continued, "We're supposed to be--and it's a struggle, I think, for everyone to be--but we're supposed to be humble. We're supposed to use whatever time we're given to shine a light on other stories. I mean, there are so many stories that we're not covering. And to take time with this--this is not journalism."

"The View" co-host Meghan McCain echoed Curry's remarks, saying that "there are so many more provocative and interesting topics Megyn should be covering." Joy Behar, meanwhile, said that dragging "the Vietnam War into a plastic surgery conversation is a real stretch." Behar later quipped, "Jane should have said to her, 'How much work have you had, b***h?' "

Behar, however, apologized to Kelly for calling her b***h before the segment ended. "I didn't mean to call her a b***h. I like her, actually. I've met her at parties. I like her," she said. "I think she's struggling for a persona."

Wendy Williams also joined Curry, the ladies on "The View" and Debra Messing in dissing Kelly on how she handled the dispute between her and the Oscar-winning actress. "Why are fighting with her, Megyn Kelly? Is your show still on?" the host of "The Wendy Williams Show" told her audience during "Hot Topics" segment in Tuesday episode.

"She's fishing for ratings," Williams added. "You're [Megyn] brand new to the set; No one knows you in that genre."

Kelly landed in hot water after slamming Fonda in the Monday episode of "Today". It came after the actress called her "not that good" interviewer for asking her an "inappropriate" plastic surgery question back in a September episode.

"Well, the truth is most older women look nothing like Fonda, who is now 80. And if Fonda really wants to have an honest discussion about older women's cultural face, then her plastic surgery is tough to ignore," Kelly defended her question. She went on talking about the infamous 1972 photo of the actress with Vietnamese soldiers, before concluding, "And honestly, she [Fonda] has no business lecturing anyone on what qualifies as offensive."
