The 'Big Little Lies' actress was slammed for once again not mentioning her adopted children with Tom Cruise during her speech at the award-giving event on Sunday.

AceShowbiz - These past few days were not only miraculous for Nicole Kidman, who won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 7, but also for her fans. The "Big Little Lies" actress seemingly decided to get social this year and joined Instagram on Monday.

The 50-year-old actress shared her first post on the photo-sharing platform. The photo, which was taken from the award-giving event, saw her holding her trophy while looking excited. "About last night......shut the place down!!!" she wrote in the caption.

She continued, "I am so proud of my Big Little Lies family and to have stood with my sisters on such a special night. #TimesUp."

People quickly flooded her comment sections with congratulatory messages. "Congratulations Nicole, you looked beautiful, always been a fan,you are the best," a fan wrote. Similarly, another fan wrote, "Congrats, well deserved! Thank you for your courageous work portraying the character." Another fan welcomed the actress to Instagram, writing, "Welcome to Instagram legend."

Nicole delivered a powerful speech at the 2018 Golden Globes, talking about the power of women. She thanked fellow cast member and producer of "Big Little Lies" Reese Witherspoon, saying, "We did this because of out friendship, our creative union and our support of each other. And I love you." She also mentioned her other co-stars including Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley and Zoe Kravitz.

She ended her speech by giving a shout-out to her daughters with husband Keith Urban. "Oh, first cab off the rank. That means my daughters are still awake. So Sunny, Faith, I love you. I'm bringing this home to you, babies," Nicole exclaimed.

Noticeably absent from her speech was her two adopted children, Isabella and Connor, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise. Fans took to Twitter to slam the actress for not mentioning them. "That awkward feeling when Nicole Kidman only mentions her biological kids in her speech #criiiiiinge #goldenglobes2018," a fan wrote. Another fan tweeted, ":::whispers::: I love Nicole Kidman, but I still think it's weird that she completely stopped mentioning her Cruise kids as her kids ("my daughters Faith and Sunny") #GoldenGlobes."

It was not the first time Nicole left out her adopted children in her speech. She failed to mention them at the 2017 Emmy Awards, and faced backlash for it.
