The Irish actress, who sported a black dress with feathered sleeves at this year's Golden Globes, didn't hit the red carpet with her new fiance that night. However, her onscreen husband, Sam Heughan, was by her side throughout the night.

"He's the sweetest. I'm so lucky," she said of her co-star in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I have an incredible job that I love, but I get to go to work with one of my best friends. We are just so grateful and we have the best fans and so many of them are here and they're so loud and fantastic."

Also during the interview, Balfe, who is a part of the Time's Up initiative, talked about the importance of the initiative amid sexual misconduct and harassment scandals that hit the entertainment industry.

"This community is not known for its community spirit, but it's incredible that we're all standing in solidarity with the victims of sexual abuse," she said, before saying that she's "grateful that I'm here that I get to be a part of this."

Balfe also shared that Eva Longoria was the one who invited her to become a part of the initiative. "I was very grateful obviously to her for that notice," she said of the "Desperate Housewives" alum. "But I think it's incredible that there's an active plan and that the legal defense fund is really going to affect people's lives in such an incredibly positive way."
