AceShowbiz - Will Ewan McGregor reprise the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in another "Star Wars" movie? The 46-year-old actor, who won a Golden Globe for his role on "Fargo" at the 75th annual awards show held on Sunday, January 7, said that he's up to return as the legendary Jedi Master in a future "Star Wars" project.
Following his acceptance speech at the ceremony, Ewan said backstage that "there's a lot of talk" about his taking on the role once again, "but [it's] just that." Though he said that he'd "be happy to play him again. . . There is no plan." The bearded Scottish actor went on to reveal he did see the latest "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" over Christmas and loved it. "It was really, really beautiful," he said.

Ewan played the Jedi master in the "Star Wars" prequels "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" (1999), "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones" (2002) and "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith" (2005). Back in August, it was reported that Oscar-nominated filmmaker Stephen Daldry was in negotiations for a spin-off film about the Jedi Master, who has also been played by Alec Guinness. But nothing has been confirmed, including casting of the Jedi Master
Just a day before Ewan addressed the Obi-Wan Kenobi rumors at the Golden Globes which was hosted by Seth Meyers, a Facebook photo of the "T2: Trainspotting" actor having a workout session went viral as many believed that he's teasing his return as the mentor to Luke Skywalker for an untitled stand-alone Star Wars film IV.
Some others also thought that the new image could be pointing to an earlier production start date or possibly some filming as a Force Ghost in J.J. Abrams' upcoming "Star Wars Episode IX". While it's also possible that the beard and haircut had nothing to do with "Star Wars" at all, the actor certainly looked a lot like the Jedi Master in the snap.
