AceShowbiz - The 75th Golden Globes kicked off on Sunday evening, January 7 live from Los Angeles. Following the announcement of Sam Rockwell as the winner of Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for his performance in "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri", Alexandre Desplat took home Best Original Score for his work on "The Shape of Water".

Desplat beat out the likes of Carter Burwell ("Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri"), Jonny Greenwood ("Phantom Thread"), John Williams ("The Post") and Hans Zimmer ("Dunkirk").
Also in movie field, "The Greatest Showman" was later honored with the Best Original Song award, with Benj Pasek and Justin Paul sharing the trophy for their song "This Is Me". Their song won over other competitors including "Mighty River" from "Mudbound" as well as other songs from animation films like "Home" from "Ferdinand", "Remember Me" from "Coco" and "The Star" from the animated flick of the same name, "The Star".
Next was the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, which went to James Franco for his performance in "The Disaster Artist". The handsome hunk won the title after beating out the likes of Steve Carell ("Battle of the Sexes"), Ansel Elgort ("Baby Driver"), Hugh Jackman ("The Greatest Showman"), and Daniel Kaluuya ("Get Out").
