A source reveals that the round-the-clock security is always with her and the ring, but they are dressed in street clothes.

AceShowbiz - Paris Hilton wants to make sure that her massive engagement ring is safe after her boyfriend Chris Zylka proposed to her earlier this week. The hotel heiress has reportedly hired 24/7 security to shadow her and keep an eye on her expensive ring.
An insider tells TMZ, "They've had 24/7 security shadowing them. And specifically the ring -- ever since [they got engaged] last weekend." Her decision comes in the wake of a spate of burglaries targeting celebrity homes in Los Angeles such as Nicki Minaj's and Kim Kardashian's.
"She feels it's best to have someone on guard at all times because of the rash of celeb burglaries this past year," the insider continues, before adding that she already has "around the clock security at home." The insider also says that ring security is "always with her and that rock, but they're in street clothes, so it's not so obvious."
Chris proposed to Paris during their vacation in Aspen, Colorado. The socialite-turned-DJ took to Instagram to announce the happy news, sharing a series of sweet pictures of Chris getting on one knee while proposing. "I said Yas!" so she captioned the pics. "I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! You are my dream come true! Thank you for showing me that fairytales do exist."
The ring itself, according to celebrity jeweler Michael Green, was inspired by her mother's diamond ring. "Paris at one point in time told Chris she really loved her mother's pear-shaped diamond, and when Chris came to me that was his request," Michael shared. "The pear-shaped really jumped out for him and ultimately for her. He did some fishing, but in the end it was all him."
When asked about what Paris thought of the ring, Michael answered, "Paris just called and told me how much she appreciates it. She says it's her dream diamond. She said she never thought Chris would come up with something so perfect. She's so happy and excited."
