AceShowbiz - Katherine Heigl is celebrating her son Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr.'s first birthday on December 20 with an emotional Instagram post. The 39-year-old actress takes to the photo-sharing site to share a throwback picture of her very-pregnant self while reflecting on her son's difficult delivery.
"At 9am one year ago today I had @joshbkelley take this photo of me so I could remember how incredibly pregnant I was right before we left for the hospital and my 12pm scheduled cesarean," she captions the topless snap which shows her bare baby bump. She shares that she "was incredibly nervous and a little scared" at that time because "I had never been hospitalized or had ever had any kind of surgery and had no idea what to expect."
Also sharing a picture of her in hospital a year ago, she goes on recalling, "My doctor struggled to get him out because he was really wedged in there and not quite ready to leave the womb. When she finally pulled him out at exactly 12:33pm he didn't start breathing and they worked quickly to get oxygen in him and start his tiny lungs. @joshbkelley was standing with them when he finally took his first breath."
As little Joshua has grown to become a healthy boy, Katherine couldn't be more grateful for it. "Now he's 26 ponds of rolling, tumbling, grasping, giggling, shouting, curious, jolly energy!" she says of her third child. "He is everything and more than I could have hoped for and he has brought our family even more joy, love, laughter, abundance, bliss and yes, exhaustion and exasperation too! It's been a hell of a year and I could not be more grateful for it or him! Happy Birthday to my little man! Maybe I can make this next year go a little slower!"
Katherine and Josh Kelley, who tied the knot on December 23, 2007 in Park City, Utah, have three children. They adopted a daughter, Naleigh, from South Korea, in September 2009. The couple adopted a second daughter, Adalaide, from the U.S. in April 2012. The "Knocked Up" star and the country music singer announced they were expecting their third child in June 2016.
