The 37-year-old reality TV star, who already has two children, admits she had failed pregnancy attempt using an embryo, adding that it took one year to find her surrogate.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian made a heartbreaking revelation in the latest episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians". While the KKW Beauty owner is currently awaiting the arrival of her third child with husband Kanye West via a surrogate, she went through the heartbreak of a miscarriage before seeking a third party to carry her baby.

Kim said she had tried to get pregnant for a third time via IVF with an embryo, but she "lost it." The 37-year-old reality TV star/socialite, who already has daughter North, 4, and son Saint, 2, explained, "I mean, I tried one and I lost it. So it's just a chance" when it came to her surrogate getting pregnant with her third child.

"Getting a surrogate and finding someone who you really trust really is so much more for difficult of a situation than you could really imagine," Kim confessed, revealing that she and her rapper husband looked for a year for the perfect candidate. "You have to like make sure that their lifestyle is healthy and they have to go through psychological testing, and it was maybe a year before we finalized our current situation."

"But I think everything happens for a reason," she added, "because the surrogate that I really loved got approved and she is such a nice person, like she's so easy to talk to and she's the perfect fit for us, but we have to decide quickly, are we really going to go through with this or are we gonna wait until we feel more prepared."

The scene was taped before Kim's surrogate got pregnant. The "Selfish" author, who was still sporting her short black locks, called it a "waiting game" and "so frustrating" to see whether the surrogate got pregnant. "It's really nerve-wracking because there's only a 60 percent chance it will take," the curvy star said.

"I go to all the doctor's appointments and I try to be really present, but when you're not carrying it yourself it is such a fine balance of how much you're going to be in their lives," she admitted. "Of course, I want to know ever last detail that's going on with my baby and that's super frustrating, but I really trust my surrogate and I don't want to be that person that's trying to control her every move."

Kim's surrogate is expected to give birth to the new bundle of joy early next year.
