Jean Ann Crenshaw, who is a fan of Garth Brooks, had a very unexpected experience when she traveled from Louisville to Nashville to attend the country superstar's show at the Bridgestone Arena on December 9. It was reported that 47-year-old Crenshaw suffered a fractured nose and facial lacerations after a crew member accidentally dropped a metal pole from the roof into the floor seats.

The accident happened after Trisha Yearwood hosted a surprise mid-concert performance to celebrate Brooks topping Billboard Country Airplay chart with his track "Ask Me How I Know". During her performance, balloons were supposed to drop over the first 25 rows. But they didn't, leading a crew member to poke at the netting with a pole. And when the balloons finally fell, so did the pole.

Further reports stated that one of Crenshaw's wounds came within half an inch of piercing her eye and required five stitches. On December 11, it was reported that Crenshaw had retained an attorney. Meanwhile, members of Brooks' staff and arena executives are still investigating the accident.

Brooks kicked off his tour, which is called "The Garth Brooks World Tour", back in September 2014 in Rosemont. The "Friends in Low Places" crooner is scheduled to wrap up the tour on December 23 in his hometown Nashville. Ahead of the last show, Brooks and wife Yearwood held a press conference where he talked about ending the 400-date tour, which set a record with $6.4 million in ticket sales.

"I'll just cry," Brooks remarked, adding that the tour made himself "wired and tired." He continued, "What I'm gonna miss the most is the way of life you've become accustomed to. This is the highest I've ever felt. There's nothing like this tour. I've never felt anything like it on stage. So you know anything that's that high..."
