Renee Zellweger Denies She Gave Harvey Weinstein 'Sexual Favors'
Celebrity

'If Harvey said that, he's full of s**t,' a rep for the 'Bridget Jones' actress says in response to Weinstein's alleged claim.

Renee Zellweger denies she ever gave Harvey Weinstein "sexual favors." A rep for the actress has responded to the disgraced movie mogul's alleged claim to one of his victims, saying, "If Harvey said that, he's full of s**t."

In a new class-action lawsuit filed by six women earlier this week, one of the plaintiffs claims that Weinstein told her "that Renee Zellweger, Charlize Theron and other actresses gave sexual favors" to give examples of how a sexual relationship with him could help their careers.

Zellweger has worked with Weinstein on several movies, including "Cold Mountain" which helped her win an Academy Award.

A source also denies that anything sexual ever happened between Theron and Weinstein. "Obviously there was never anything sexual between Charlize Theron and Harvey Weinstein," the source tells E! News. "Fortunately she was not a victim."

Theron, however, has voiced her support for women who came forward as Weinstein's alleged victims. She posted on Instagram in October, "The women who have spoken about their abuse are brave and heroic and although I didn't have a personal experience like this with Harvey Weinstein, I unfortunately cannot say I'm surprised. This culture has always existed, not just in Hollywood but across the world. And many men in positions of power have gotten away with it for far too long."

"We cannot blame the victims here," she continued. "A lot of these women are young, and just starting out in their respective fields, and have absolutely no way to stand up to a man with so much influence, much greater than theirs. If they speak up, they are shut down, and that could be the end of their career."

She added, "This is all a positive step forward in changing that culture, and these young women need to know that they have a support system should anything like this happen to them. And I want you all to know I support you."

Meanwhile, celebrities who have come forward with sexual abuse allegations against Weinstein included Ashley Judd, Rose McGowan, Angelina Jolie, Cara Delevingne, Lea Seydoux, Lupita Nyong'o and Lena Headey.
