Ben Affleck is taking a big, challenging step with his girlfriend Lindsay Shookus. The Batman depicter reportedly took his mistress-turned-girlfriend to meet his estranged wife Jennifer Garner over the weekend.

According to X17, the "Justice League" actor and her "Saturday Night Live" producer bae went to Farm Shop in Brentwood on Saturday, November 25 around 4 P.M. Later, the couple reportedly headed to Jennifer's home in the Pacific Palisades for an hour sit-down.

Sources told the site that the meeting went "quite friendly." Although it might be a challenge for both sides, Ben and Lindsay allegedly "looked so happy to finally be making their relationship legit with Jen." The sources added, "They've had to tiptoe around and Jen has resisted having the kids hang out with Lindsay."

For the nerve-wracking meeting, Ben opted to dress up, seemingly to "make a good impression on Jen--like how clean and healthy he looks." Meanwhile, Lindsay was reportedly looking "a little nervous" but she got "support" from the "Gone Girl" star.

One thing which surprises many is that Jen was cool with all this. It's arguably not easy to open the door for the pair, considering rumors saying that Ben cheated on her with Lindsay during their marriage.

Jennifer and Ben announced their split in June 2015 and filed for divorce in April. Despite splitting, the former spouses remain close and are co-parenting their three children, Violet (12), Seraphina (8) and Samuel (5).

While Ben is happily dating the 37-year-old TV producer, Jennifer revealed in a recent interview that she hasn't been dating since going separate was with Ben, nor she's interested in going back to the dating game. "I would not have chosen this life for myself or for my kids. I would not choose to be single or be in this position," the "The Tribes of Palos Verdes" actress said.

"It's something that we are working through," Jennifer explained. "People want to set me up and I am just like, 'No thank you!' "
