There is no other studio that can bring a classic fantasy epic to life than Disney, and their new teaser trailer for "A Wrinkle in Time" proves just that. The thirty-second video shows the film's marvel and the actors' brilliant performances.

The main character, Meg Murry played by newcomer Storm Reid, is shown in the teaser going on a journey into alternate world and dimensions across time and space in order to save her father (Chris Pine). On her way, she is helped by three ethereal beings, Mrs. Whatsit (Reese Witherspoon), Mrs. Who (Mindy Kaling) and Mrs. Which (Oprah Winfrey).

Aside from Reid, the upcoming film features other young stars as the youngsters who will accompany Reid's character Meg in her journey to find her scientist father. Deric McCabe takes on the role of Meg's brother Charles, and Levi Miller plays the siblings' friend, Calvin.

Other than the teaser trailer, Disney has released the film's official poster. Pine's character, Dr. Alex Murry, is surrounded by the three celestial entities and three young people who are going to save Dr. Murry as well as the universe from a spreading darkness.

The official synopsis of the film reads, "From visionary director Ava DuVernay comes Disney 'A Wrinkle in Time', an epic adventure based on Madeleine L'Engle's timeless classic which takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love. Through one girl's transformative journey led by three celestial guides, we discover that strength comes from embracing one's individuality and that the best way to triumph over fear is to travel by one's own light."

The film's director knew that she was utterly impressed by L'Engle's progressive ideas that she poured out in her novel. "I saw so much beauty in it, but also so much meaning. She's a very radical thinker and she embedded her sense of what society should and could be in this piece, and a lot of it I agree with," the director told Entertainment Weekly.

The fantasy epic film is scheduled for a March 9, 2018 release in U.S. theaters.
