Drake is making sure that his shows are safe for everyone to enjoy, especially for female fans. The Canadian rapper was in the middle of performing his hit song "Know Yourself" at his Sydney show's after party at Marquee nightclub on November 15 when he noticed a male concertgoer groping women. He eventually told the DJ to pause the song and threatened the male fan.
In a fan-captured Instagram video, Drake can be heard yelling to the fan, saying that he would fight him if he didn't stop what he was doing. "If you don't stop touching girls, I will come out there and f**k you up," Drake said, gaining a loud cheer from the audience.
However, it seemed that the fan said something in response as Drake repeated his words in a more threatening manner. "If you don't stop putting your hands on girls, I'm gonna come out there and f**k your ass up," he continued before going back to performing.
Many fans then took to social media to praise the "Hotline Bling" hitmaker. A non-fan even said that she/he had become his fan after watching the video of the incident. "This is why he is my fave artist, I could cry now. He's such a nice human being protecting his female fans," a fan gushed. Another fan wrote, "My love for him just got stronger and I didn't even think that was possible."
Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, previously made another headline during his "Boy Meets World" tour. The Toronto rapper sang a previously-unheard track to the audience at his Auckland show, showcasing his beautiful voice. "Please don't stand at my grave and cry though/ I'm not there, they made it so I can never really die, no," he rhymed. "Please don't stand at my grave and cry though/ Pop champagne, scream my words." The crowd went wild after he sang it.
