AceShowbiz - Is Tamar Braxton and Vincent Herbert's divorce only a "publicity stunt"? Following the couple's shocking divorce news, the singer's pal Wendy Williams is wondering if it is their sneaky way to boost ratings for their reality show, "Tamar & Vince".
News of Tamar filing for divorce from Vince after their nine years of marriage in fact came just days before the trailer for the last season of their show was released, leading some people to believe that the move could just be another way to promote their show. And her pal Wendy is skeptical, too.
Taking to her popular daytime talk show, "The Wendy Williams Show", on Monday, October 30, Wendy shared she hoped the couple's not using something as serious as divorce to get more viewers. "So I'm thinking, Tamar and Vince, I hope that this is not like some sort of publicity stunt that you guys are doing to promote your upcoming reality show," Wendy said to her studio audience during "Hot Topics".
She then weighed in on rumors of Tamar being intimidated by Vince's relationship with Remy Ma, whom he manages. "There's nothing wrong with Vince managing Remy Ma," the 53-year-old host noted. "Her and Papoose are always together so that's a safe situation if you want to say what's safe and what's not with your man going on the road with somebody."
The host also addressed Tamar and Vince's reported financial issues. She said, "[By Vince managing Remy] They can bring some money into the house to reduce the millions of dollars in debt that Tamar and Vince are in ... I'm watching you Tamar and Vince!"
News of Tamar and Vince's divorce broke last week. The 40-year-old singer/TV personality filed legal docs in Los Angeles on October 24, just one month shy of their ninth anniversary. She's allegedly seeking full custody of their son, 4-year-old Logan. In the divorce paperwork, not only does Tamar demand her son stay with her, she has also requested that the judge denies any kind of spousal support for Vince.
