The 'America's Got Talent' judge smiles and flashes a thumbs up as he leaves the hospital after fainting and falling down the stairs in his London home.

AceShowbiz - Simon Cowell was rushed to hospital on early Friday, October 27 after a "scary" accident in his London home. The British music mogul fainted and fell down the stairs. He was seen wearing a neck brace as he was loaded into an ambulance on a stretcher between 7:30 A.M. and 8 A.M. local time, PEOPLE reported.

"It's been a scary morning. It was very early and Simon was going down his stairs to get some hot milk because he couldn't sleep," his rep told The Sun. "He fainted and is thought to have fallen down the stairs," the rep added.

Simon was said to be in a stable condition and undergoing tests. His longtime girlfriend Lauren Silverman was not home at the time. She has been seen catching a flight from New York City to London after the accident. She looked concerned as she boarded her flight.

The 58-year-old reality TV producer, however, has been released from the hospital on Friday afternoon. He looked in good shape, smiling and flashing a thumbs up for the cameras. "I've got a bit of concussion. I feel better now," he explained to paparazzi, thanking fans for their concern.

It's unclear if Simon will be able to film for tonight's episode of "The X Factor". "I will be back, but I don't know about tomorrow," he said. "But I'm feeling okay."

Over the years, Simon's workaholic lifestyle has taken its toll on his health. Last summer, he was forced to pull out of "X Factor" London auditions due to a mystery illness. He also missed his own charity ball in June last year because he was down with the flu.

In 2012, he admitted he was "paralysed with tiredness" and his "immune system was failing" due to the stress of combining huge TV roles in the U.K. and the U.S. "I desperately need peace. I'm craving normality. I've got to work out my demons and come out of it," he shared. "I have to get back to where I was years ago. I have to stop reading texts at three in the morning and making calls later and later."
