A source backstage claims that the former Miss Teen USA, whose skirt ripped off during performance in last episode, 'is willing to do anything to stay on air.'

AceShowbiz - Vanessa Lachey a.k.a. Vanessa Minnillo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy shocked everyone during last night's "Dancing with the Stars" performance when Vanessa lost her skirt during their Quickstep routine. However, a source backstage claims that the wardrobe malfunction is nothing but a staged one.
The source tells Radar Online, "Vanessa's dance last night was flawless, but her skirt ripping off was totally staged!"
The source goes on saying that the 36-year-old mother of three "is so thirsty to win now." According to the source, the former Miss Teen USA "is willing to do anything to stay on air."
"She isn't stupid," the source adds. "Before Vanessa was a celebrity in her own right, she was an entertainment news reporter, so she definitely knows how to make headlines."
The wife of Nick Lachey, who also participated on the show's current season 25 but was eliminated last night, is also said to be "loving the attention she is getting right now."
In the Movie Night last night, Vanessa and Maks danced Quickstep to "Let's Be Bad" from "Smash". The pair nailed the performance, with judge Carrie Ann Inaba praising Vanessa for handling the mishap like a pro. The judges, including guest judge Shania Twain, gave the pair 36 points out of 40.
Vanessa previously was rumored to be having a beef with partner Maks, who skipped the October 2 episode of the ABC dancing competition due to "personal issue." The pro dancer and Vanessa allegedly were feuding with each other because they both "have big personalities" and "have been fighting a lot." It was also said that Maks "feels that she is not taking it as seriously as she should."
However, now that the two have reconciled, they reportedly have been on fire to win the coveted Mirror Ball trophy.
