"Rush Hour 4" is coming! Jackie Chan confirmed it during press tour for his new movie "The Foreigner". The 63-year-old Hong Kong actor is expected to return to the next installment along with his onscreen sidekick Chris Tucker.

"Last seven years, the script was no good. But yesterday everybody agreed, 'Yes, that's the script'," the martial artist told Mario Lopez when dropping by "Extra" for an intervew. He revealed that the upcoming movie would begin production "next year."

He didn't go into details about what to expect from the film but he assured fans, "It's pretty good. Different. It's not like [about a] drug dealer, this is not like [about] fake money, [it's] something different...I don't want to always do the same thing again, again."

In a different chat with Power 106's The Cruz Show, Jackie Chan said, "For the last seven years we've been turning down the script, turning down the script, [and] yesterday we just agreed [on the script]. Probably end of this month they'll have a second draft. Next year they'll probably start, I hope--if Chris Tucker agrees."

He explained why it took a long time to make a fourth movie, "It's about [having the] time to make [Rush Hour 4]. Otherwise, Rush Hour 4 [we'll be] all old men. I told Chris Tucker, 'Before we get old, please do Rush Hour 4.' "

The first "Rush Hour" movie was released in 1998. It grossed over $244 million worldwide. "Rush Hour 2" followed in 2001 and "Rush Hour 3" in 2007. It also spawned a TV series of the same name with Jon Foo and Justin Hires as the lead actors. It premiered on CBS in 2016 but canceled after only one season. It's unclear who will direct the upcoming fourth movie, but all the previous three films were helmed by Brett Ratner.
