The former White House press secretary says he regrets berating reporters for reporting accurate news that President Barack Obama's inauguration crowd was bigger than President Trump's.

AceShowbiz - Following his surprise appearance at the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards where he poked fun at his six-month tenure as the White House press secretary, Sean Spicer talks about one of his infamous moments. In a new interview with the New York Times, he admits that he was wrong for yelling at reporters for saying that the crowd at President Barack Obama's inauguration was bigger than the crowd at President Donald Trump's in January.
"Of course I do, absolutely," Spicer says when asked if he regrets his decision to charge into the White House briefing room in January and berating reporters at the time. He was also known for clashing with reporters over other negative reports about President Trump.
Spicer seems to change his attitude since leaving his post at the White House. On Sunday's (September 17) Emmy Awards, he appeared toward the end of Stephen Colbert's monologue to poke fun at the crowd-size controversy. When the host wondered whether there was any way to judge the size of the audience watching him, Spicer came out onstage with a podium and declared, "This is the largest audience to witness an Emmys, period. Both in person and around the world."
But not all have immediately turned their attitudes toward Spicer. His appearance at Emmys received backlash from viewers and James Corden has also been at the receiving end of people's anger as he was photographed kissing Spicer on the cheek backstage.
Many have taken to Twitter to express their disgust at Corden's act. "That photo of Corden kissing Spicer has awakened peak 2010 levels of Corden hate. HEY US TV HOSTS. STOP NORMALISING FASCISM FOR A BIT OK?!?" one wrote.
Another commented, "Corden makes Spicer look like a beacon of honour and sincerity. It's like Kimmel ruffling Trump's hair all over again: proper enablers."

Someone posted on Instagram to criticize Spicer's appearance at the Emmys, "The man who denied Hitler gassed people during the Holocaust, yeah let's show this man some love. Wtf? Are you all out of your minds, this is sickening!!!! The treatment Spicer got tonight was sickening. He should never have appeared, never mind being given 'celebrity' status. What the hell is wrong with you all?!"
