The 'Mother's Day' actress is building huge followers as she urges fans to made donations to Houston community.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Garner is officially on Instagram. The 45-year-old actress urged fans to make donations to help Houston community ravaged by Hurricane Harvey. She shared a link to Hurricane Harvey Children's Relief Fund on her bio.

The mother of three already has 134,000 followers and still counting. Her first post was a video of her writing a message on a board. "I am officially on Instagram! So, please follow me because isn't that how this works...? Xx, Jen," she wrote in the caption.

Meanwhile, her message on the board read, "I am officially on Instagram so please follow me because isn't that how this works..." It originally read, "Summer is almost over. Don't be sad because sad is DAS backward and DAS not good," before she changed it.

Before joining Instagram, she used Facebook to set the record straight on a cover story about her on PEOPLE magazine. In the article, she was reportedly not ready to date after her marriage to Ben Affleck ended. She responded, "I did not pose for this cover. I did not participate in or authorize this article."

Garner parted ways with husband Ben Affleck in June 2015. The couple started dating after they worked together on the superhero movies "Daredevil" and "Elektra". They tied the knot in 2005. They have two daughters Violet and Seraphina as well as a son Samuel. They are seeking joint custody of their children.

Affleck is now dating "Saturday Night Live" producer Lindsay Shookus. They have been inseparable in the past few weeks. Rumor has it, they hooked up while they were still married to their respective spouses.

Jennifer Garner was seen in the movies "Miracles From Heaven", "Mother's Day", "Nine Lives" and "Wakefield" last year. She will next be seen in coming-of-age movie "The Tribes of Palos Verdes" which is due in December.

The actress is also among the voice cast of animated film "Amusement Park" along with Matthew Broderick, Mila Kunis and John Oliver. In another new movie "Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda", she will share screen with Nick Robinson, Alexandra Shipp, Josh Duhamel and Colton Haynes among others.
