Celebrity

The 24-year-old raptress hinted that she isn't getting engaged to her rapper beau anytime soon, as she is said to be focusing on 'making dollars' and being a 'superstar' right now.

AceShowbiz - Speculations that Cardi B is engaged to Offset have been swirling around since the member of Migos showed off a diamond ring on social media a week ago. And now, Cardi has finally set the record straight. During an interview at MTV Video Music Awards, the raptress insisted that she is not engaged to Offset. "It's not true!" she said. "I'm happy."

On how she keeps her relationship with the spitter work, Cardi revealed, "A lot of love, sex, communication. Spits, throats, mouths." While Cardi and Offset are not engaged, it looks like things are getting serious between them. During the VMAs' pre-show, the "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker shared, "I'm a woman. Every woman, I think, wants to get married and wants to have children."

It seems like Cardi and Offset won't be walking down the aisle in the near future as the Bronx femcee is currently on the peak of her career. Cardi has been kicking her career into high gear with "Bodak Yellow". The smash hit is currently on the top 10 of Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the highest-charting song by a female rapper since Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" reigned on the chart in 2014.

"Honestly Offset would definitely make Cardi his wifey. They have talked about it, but Cardi isn't ready for all that just yet," a source told HollywoodLife.com. "She is focused on one thing right now, making those dollars and breaking out as a music superstar. She wants to be as big as Nicki Minaj! Until she's where she wants professionally, getting engaged will be on the back burner." Well, fair enough.

In an interview, Cardi revealed that she had always dreamed to be a rapper. "You know when you're little, your dream is to be an artist. When you're a teenager, it's like I would like [to] be a rapper," she shared. "Then when I was 18, I was [like] eh, whatever. Look how many people try to be rappers. What makes me think [that] I would make it? When my manager told me to give a shot at my dreams, it was a little scary for me. But I see that my dreams are coming true. This is what I dreamed of."
