AceShowbiz - After teasing all week, Taylor Swift finally confirms on her social media that she is going to release a brand new studio album. Called "Reputation", it is scheduled to come out in the United States on November 10 this year. It's a follow-up to her 2014 effort "1989".
The first official single is set to be released on Thursday night, August 24 to give fans the first taste of her new music. The title is not yet revealed, but she might be calling out someone in the track if the slithery video teasers she previously released are any indication.
Taylor sent fans into frenzy last week when she purged her social media. While she only deleted posts from the recent years on Twitter and Facebook, she completely blanked out her Tumblr and Instagram. Her official website also went dark.
The 27-year-old Grammy winner later posted three cryptic clips featuring a snake with gold-and-green scales. The first video shows the tail, the second one displays the body, and finally the last one reveals the red-eyed head. The reptile looks very angry, showing off its sharp fangs and lunging at the camera.
Rumor has it, Taylor has booked an appearance on "Good Morning America". According to a listing on DirectTV, her episode will air on August 31. On top of that, eagle-eyed fans notice a song called "Timeless" has been registered under her name on music publishing website ASCAP. It has also got an official website. "Coming soon," reads the message on the web.
"The single is very different. It goes from very soft, to hard, to soft again," a source recently told Us Weekly. "Taylor is overhauling her image. It doesn't sound like anything she's done before. It's a little unusual. She plays around with new sounds each album cycle, but this one in particular stands out."
