The Wednesday, August 16 episode of the NBC show also saw the return of last year's champion Grace VanderWaal, who took the stage to flaunt her ukulele skills while belting out her single 'Moonlight'.

AceShowbiz - After performing for the first quarterfinal of "America's Got Talent" on Tuesday night, August 15, the 12 performers learned the results of the overnight votes in the Wednesday, August 16 episode of the NBC singing competition show. Only seven acts advanced to the semifinals, while the rest five performers were forced to pack their belongings and get home.

To kick off the results, host Tyra Banks announced the sixth, seventh and eighth place vote-getters who would be fighting against each other for the Dunkin' Save. The three acts who were up for the Dunkin' Save were Golden Buzzer-recipient Christian Guardino, Just Jerk and Yoli Mayor.

Tyra later asked In the Stairwell and duo young dancers Artyon and Paige to step forward, before announcing that the all-male a cappella group advanced to the semifinals, while Artyon and Paige were eliminated. Joining In the Stairwell was Preacher Lawson, with The Singing Trump and Puddles Pity Party being ones of the dropped acts.

To lessen the tense, last year's winner Grace VanderWaal took the "AGT" stage once again to showcase her ukulele skills while belting out her single "Moonlight". Donning a cute black mini dress, the 12-year-old singer delivered an energetic performance.

The announcement resumed once Grace finished her performance. Singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer and Angelica Hale were later brought to the stage to hear their fates. Tyra then revealed that the two talented young performers were going to the semifinals. With that, there was only one spot left, and Bello Nock and Billy and Emily England were put against each other to nab the spot. Tyra revealed that the spot went to the sibling roller skaters. Bello Nock was unfortunately sent home once again.

Now came the time to announce the results of the live vote for the Dunkin' Save. One act which got the highest vote would be automatically sent to semifinals, while the other two would be left up in the air for the judges to vote. The one who joined Darci Lynne Farmer and others in the semifinals was Christian.

Left in jeopardy were Korean dance crew Just Jerk and solo singer Yoli Mayor. Judge Heidi Klum voted for Yoli, while Melanie Brown a.k.a. Mel B voted for Just Jerk. The two acts earned tie results as Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel's votes went to Yoli and Just Jerk respectively. As Yoli received more audience overnight votes, the singer was named the last semifinalist that night.

"America's Got Talent" airs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 P.M. on NBC.
