STXfilms has unleashed the first trailer for "Molly's Game". The gripping trailer for the upcoming directorial debut of "The Social Network" screenwriter Aaron Sorkin features Jessica Chastain as Olympic skier-turned-poker princess Molly Bloom.

The nearly-3-minute video opens with Molly meeting with a high-powered criminal defense lawyer named Charlie Jaffrey, portrayed by Idris Elba, to deal with a federal investigation. It then jumps to scenes that show how Molly, a former world-class skier, is struggling as a waitress in Los Angeles.

Her boss (Jeremy Strong) chooses her to run an underground poker game, before he stops paying her and then fires her because she gets "too much money from the game" itself. Following the "humiliation" she receives, she runs her own poker empire, which leads to her being charged by the feds.

"Molly's Game" tells the story of Molly Bloom, a beautiful, young, Olympic-class skier who ran the world's most exclusive high-stakes poker game for a decade before being arrested in the middle of the night by 17 FBI agents wielding automatic weapons.

Her players included Hollywood royalty, sports stars, business titans and finally, unbeknownst to her, the Russian mob. Her only ally is her criminal defense lawyer, who learns that there's much more to Molly than the tabloids lead us to believe.

Set to arrive in U.S. theaters on November 22, the movie also stars Michael Cera, Brian d'Arcy James, Chris O'Dowd, Bill Camp, Graham Greene, Claire Rankin and Kevin Costner.
