The Oscar-winning actress reveals she ended up being put on oxygen after hyperventilating too much on the set of Darren Aronofsky's psychological horror film.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about the challenges she faced while filming for Darren Aronofsky's "mother!". The actress says in an interview for a new Vogue cover story that she dislocated a rib while shooting an intense scene.

"I had to go to a darker place than I've ever been in my life," the Oscar-winning actress tells Vogue. "I didn't know if I'd be able to come out ok." She dislocated a rib after hyperventilating too intensely and production had to stop for a short while as she needed to be put on oxygen.

"I have oxygen tubes in my nostrils, and Darren's like, 'It was out of focus; we've got to do it again,' " Lawrence recalls, "And I was just like, 'Go f**k yourself.' "

To help Lawrence escape from the dark material of the movie during a break, the crew set up a "happy place" on the set. Lawrence's "happy place" consisted of gumballs and a television playing clips of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" on loop. "I can give one solid hour of my life away for the Kardashians," she says.

Aronofsky praises the actress, who happens to be his girlfriend for over a year now, "It's such a raw, natural talent she has. I always kind of compare her to Michael Jordan." Javier Bardem, who plays Lawrence's on-screen husband, also gushes about her, "She's a very brave actress with no boundaries and doesn't need to be hurt in order to create pain. She's truly committed to go as far as needed."

"mother!" follows a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence. Also starring Ed Harris, Michelle Pfeiffer and Kristen Wiig, it is set to be released in the U.S. on September 15.
