The former NFL star tells his co-hosts Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos that he's 'ok' after missing from Tuesday's episode of 'Good Morning America'.

AceShowbiz - Michael Strahan was absent from "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, August 1 and his colleagues blamed it on a vague injury. Returning to the show on Wednesday, the former NFL star said he lost a piece of his finger, but assured everyone that he's okay.

"I had a little accident-lost a little bit of my pinky," he told co-hosts Robin Roberts (II) and George Stephanopoulos. He didn't reveal how he suffered the injury, but added, "I am ok. I am happy to be back."

Michael said that his co-workers wouldn't let the injury pass by without poking fun. "I didn't realize how much of a joke I was gonna be," he shared. "A guy before just said, 'Michael, we pinky swear.' Or something like that. There's going to be a lot of jokes for a while but I'm OK and glad to be back."

Michael had injured his finger before during his days as a football player. In February 2016, Lin-Manuel Miranda posted a photo of Michael's mangled finger when they were at a Knicks game. "We sat next to Strahan. He is THE BEST. Also, thanks to football, his fingers do THIS," the "Hamilton" writer captioned it.
