Madame Tussauds Wax Museum located in New York City has made some changes to the 'Single Ladies' hitmaker's wax figure after facing online backlash on social media.

Madame Tussauds Wax Museum located in New York City has restyled Beyonce Knowles' wax figure after it sparked whitewashing controversy. On Thursday afternoon, July 20, the statue was absent from the display floor, with a staff member saying the statue was "off the floor until further notice."
The museum later clarified that it was simply restyling the statue, which has now been returned to the display floor. In a statement released on Friday, the museum said, "We love, respect, and enjoy a working relationship with Beyonce. We have adjusted the styling and lighting of her figure, and she is on display at Madame Tussauds New York."
Earlier this week, Beyhive went crazy after a photo featuring their favorite singer's "whitewashed" new wax figure surfaced online. Many of them pointed out that the supposed manifestation of the "Formation" singer looked a lot like "White Chicks" Bey.
In response to the backlash, the museum released a statement that read, "Our talented team of sculptors takes every effort to ensure we accurately colour match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted. Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the colour of our wax figures."
